Pelican Tanks

Product Description and Technical Specs:

The Pelican tank is a durable, multi-purpose water tank that conveniently folds into a small package (approx 220 x 350 x 100mm) and weighs approx 2kg. The Mk II version weighs just over 3kg.

The Pelican Mk1, when full, measures approximately 900mm x 1200mm x 300mm and holds approximately 325 litres.

The Pelican Mk2, when full, measures approximately 1800mm x 1200mm x 300mm and holds approximately 650 litres.

The Pelican Mk3, when full, measures approximately 1800mm x 1200mm x 460mm and holds approximately 1000 litres.

The Pelican Mk4, when full, measures approximately 1800mm x 1500mm x 560mm and holds approximately 1500 litres.

• Pelican Tanks are light and portable, so it can be easily transported and stored conveniently is a small space.

• Can fit into the tray of a pickup or into a standard 6' x 4' trailer for transporting water by road. Can be used on farms for agricultural, fire-fighting or drought-relief purproses.

• Light, compact and portable. Can be transported by air and dropped into remote and inaccessible locations. Pelican tanks have been used for crisis relief in Africa and East Timor.

• Can be located under buildings for greywater recycling.

• When used with our Rainwater Catchment Sheet, Pelican Tanks can be used for harvesting clean rainwater in locations where ground water contamination is a problem.

• Makes and excellent and convenient portable water tank for agricultural and fire-fighting applications. Can be simply folded and stored away during seasons when it's not required.

• Lightweight and durable, and easy to repair. All tanks come with repair kit.

Fittings
All tanks have brass ball-valve taps (3/4" BSP - standard Australian garden hose fitting) outlets on the corners. All sizes have a large sleeve openings at the top centre which can allow for quick filling or for the insertion of a pump suction hose. This versatile opening also allows for internal access for cleaning or for custom-fitting other sized outlets. The opening pulls closed using a draw-string.

Material Characteristics
The outer layer of Pelican Tanks are made from durable nylon weave. The inner lining is a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) coating - a food-grade lining which leaves no detectable taste. These two materials combine to achieve maximum strength, durability and reliability for water transportation and storage.
